TRAVEL: Visiting the Vancouver Artgallery

As you might see, I was able to work a lot on the Bucket List I set at the beginning of my Au-Pair stay, while my family were here.

I know, art galleries don’t sound like an important point on a Bucket List but the thing is that I’ve always loved art but never had the courage to go to an art gallery by myself and that is what I wanted to accomplish while being here.

With my family I went to the Vancouver Artgallery which was so so cool. They had a cute little art collection with some pieces of famous painters like Monet or Paul Klee. The design of the different exhibition rooms was really bright and open and I loved that they had an own floor for the here well-known Emily Karr. Probably it was just me but I felt even closer to the country because of her gorgeous art.

I found the Takashi Murakami exhibition really interesting because it was something different. A different culture and so an art style you don’t find a lot from where I am from.

I noticed again how much I love art and I definitely want to explore all the art galleries around my home town when I am back 🙂
