As I announced in my last post, I want to share where you can get the best food in Seattle, or where, at least, we found the best food.
It’s going to be a mixture of sweet treats, Mexican and Italian food and I hope you’ll find something for yourself 🙂
Top Pot Doughnuts
This place is SO cool! Probably my favorite 🙂 In Top Pot Doughnuts you can choose between so many different doughnut flavors and can even watch them being produced in the back of the store. But the BEST thing is that the store has bookshelves over bookshelves and let’s be honest: Doughnuts, coffee and bookshelves just have to be the best place for us booksters 🙂
If you want something more fancy, then I can recommend Assaggio Ristorante. It is very classy and lovely and the Italian food is like heaven. I had the spaghetti bolognese and they were the best I’ve ever had. No kidding. Also a recommendation would be the Margherita Pizza and the Tiramisu. SO good!
Also: It’s also a good if you like sea food 🙂
We’ve been to Lola two twice. Both times for breakfast and it has to be good, if you go twice, right? 🙂 First time I had their continental breakfast and it was so delicious. Their banana bread was heaven!!
The second time I’ve chosen the Lola breakfast and it was very very good as well. Definitely a recommendation. And order plain coffee. The best coffee I had in Seattle!
We came by Lady Yum on our first day and ever since wanted to go inside and get some Macarons. On our last day we did it and bought the best macarons I’ve ever had.
First of all, isn’t that the cutest store ever? All the lovely details and the pink counter are already worth going inside. And then they have over 20 flavor to choose from.
We both picked very different macarons but didn’t have a single one we didn’t like. So, go there and allow yourself this little treat. You won’t regret it!!
Okay, so this one might be more a recommendation for Au-Pairs in Seattle who haven’t had German food in sooooo long. At least that was the case with me and my friend. You should have seen our faces when we went inside, ordered a Pretzel (a real German one!!), a Leberkäs Semmel and a Spezi. Gosh, I missed it SO much and I can’t wait to have German food at home again.
So, if you want to experience the same, go to Pike Place Market and look for Bavarian Meats. It was like coming home.
Cantina de San Patricio
On our last day we wanted to go to Bavarian Meats again but they were already closed, so we went around Pike Place Market and found the Upper Post Alley, I think it was called. It was such a cute place and we decided to have dinner at Cantina de San Patricio.
And we didn’t regret it. It was so delicious. I had the Ceasar Salad and no kidding, it was the best I’ve ever had because it was still warm and ahh just sooo good!
My friend had the Taquitos Dorados and she let me try it and oh my, usually I don’t like Tacos that much but these were sooo good! Please, please, please go there and do yourself a favor. You won’t regret it!!
And that’s it! My food recommendations for Seattle.
The thing is that we didn’t inform ourselves where to go for food before. We just went around, explored and obviously found some very cute places. And that’s what I would recommend you to do as well. Just go around , explore and you’ll find the most adorable spots by yourself 🙂
Thank you so much for reading and I’ll see you soon in my next post!
