Today I have a very fun post for you guys. At least in my opinion. By now, you probably know how much I fell in love with plants and that’s why I wanted to share some of my favorite beginner plants + some tipps and tricks.
I know, the title says Beginner Guide which doesn’t mean, I am a Professional with plants. I just spent a lot time researching and trying to make my plants as happy as possible and I thought it might be fun to share what I’ve learned.

MY TIPS
watering.
If you are unsure when it’s time to water your plant, you take your finger and put it into the soil about 2cm. If it’s still wet, then you don’t need to water it. If it’s dry, go ahead.
waterlogging.
To prevent waterlogging (dt. Staunässe), plant your plant in a pot with holes on the bottom. Like this you can check on your plant and get rid of extra water.
propagating.
If you want to propagate your plants (which is so much fun!) and it’s possible to do with cuttings then make sure you are not only taking a simple leave but one with a knot on it’s stem. That’s where the roots will come out. A simple leave might work but not always.
dusting.
If you dust your plants on a regular basis, it’s more easily for them to breath which makes it easier for them to do photosynthesis. This is good for your room and they also look so much more healthier without dust.
