In honor of the American Thanksgiving, I wanted to share with you my Thankful-List for this year. I just collected 10 points which I felt grateful for lately. I really hope you enjoy reading this post and like this getting to know me a bit better 🙂
When I started university, one of my biggest fears has been that I wouldn’t be able to find some people to have lunch with, to sit next to during a lecture and so on. Now, that I am going to university for already six weeks, I can’t believe how fast things have developed. I have my little group to hang out with and every time I think about it, I feel so much gratitude. So, my advice, give yourself time. It takes some time to figure out who is nice and with whom you click. But there will be people, I promise 🙂
My year in Canada
There doesn’t pass a day where I don’t think about Canada, my host family, my puppy and my friends from there. Like I said before, this year has been the best year of my life so far. I am already saving up my money to go visit them next summer. We all need to cross our fingers that it will happen 🙂
My Instagram/Blog friends
Even though I might haven’t been as active on social media and my blog as I have been a few months ago, you have no idea HOW grateful I am for all of you. You always show me so much love and I am so grateful for all your sweet messages, encouraging comments and that you stick with me and the things I love. You are the best.
Of course, I had to include parents. They are my biggest supporters and I really don’t know where I would be without them. I love them so much and sometimes I am scared I don’t show that often enough. I love you, mama and papa.
If you didn’t know, I have two “little” sisters. They are the best and they are actually both taller than me 😀 But I just wanted to say thank you for always being there, making me laugh and helping me taking pictures. That means a lot. Love you, cutie sisters 🙂
After spending one year abroad I was a tiny bit scared that I wouldn’t be as close with my friends as I was before. But that isn’t the case. Even though we might have grown so much during this time, I know I can still count on them and every time we see each other, it’s just so much fun 🙂
Seriously, I don’t know what I would do without music. It has given me so much. It has brought old memories to me, made me laugh and cry and I can’t wait to dive into holiday music 🙂
I am so grateful for all the places I got to visit this year. Sometimes I have to pinch myself when I go through pictures from Hawaii and have to remind myself that I have been there, IN REAL LIFE. I am so thankful that there is that thing called TRAVELING. It’s one of the most valuable things, I have ever experienced 🙂
During this year I rediscovered my faith into God and started to read the bible every day which has taught me so much. I now know that, even if I feel alone sometimes, I am not. God is with me and I just really needed to put this in my list 🙂
You might be asking yourself, what I mean with this point. Well, I am happy with the person I am right now. I am thankful for all the happy and sad experiences which have shaped me into the person I am right now. Even though I often struggle with myself and with that thing called life, I am grateful that I am here, living, breathing, having all these amazing people around me. I am excited to see where life plants me and can’t wait to open new chapters, grow and become more and more the person I am supposed to be.
Happy Thanksgiving ♥️
