Over the last few weeks and months I received more and more questions about my plant collection. I love all of them so much and thought I am going to introduce them to you today. I will write another post with all my tips and tricks on how to keep them alive and what has worked best for me. Hope you are excited for this but for now, let me show you my plants 🙂
Ficus lyrata
My Fiddle Leaf Tree is one of my favorite plants ever. It brings me so so much joy. I love looking after it and seeing its baby leaves grow. They are pure happiness to me!
What you need to know:
☀︎☀︎☀︎☀︎ Likes bright, indirect light
💧💧💧💧 I water (+fertilize) mine about once a week during March – September. After that about once every two weeks.
Monstera deliciosa
I never thought this one would stay as happy as when I bought it. But my Monstera’s leaves are as big and as healthy as they could be and it is growing a new leaf as well which is always a good happiness sign 🙂
What you need to know:
☀︎☀︎☀︎☀︎ Likes bright, indirect light
💧💧💧💧 I water (+fertilize) mine about once a week during March to September. After that about once every two weeks.
❀ It is very easy to propagate a Monstera. Just cut it below a leaf knot, put it in water and just after a few weeks, it will grow new roots.
Rubber Plant
I don’t know if this one is happy or not…it hasn’t grown since I got it but also hasn’t showed any signs of unhappiness like dying leaves. I guess I will just have to wait and see what it is up to 🙂
What you need to know:
☀︎☀︎☀︎☀︎ Likes bright, indirect light
💧💧💧💧 Likes lots of water during spring and summer and needs longer watering breaks during fall and winter.
Succulents
I have three different varieties of Succulents. My blooming Aloe, a Crassula ovata and one I couldn’t figure out what exactly it is. I guess some kind of Aloe but I am not sure (if you know, let me know!!). They are super easy to take care of and will last you a long time.
What you need to know:
☀︎☀︎☀︎☀︎ Like bright and direct light
💧💧💧 During March-September you can treat them like any of your other plants which means, you can water them about once a week. Just check the first few inches of the soil and if it is dry, then give it some water. You will also have to get a special succulent+cacti fertilizer since the regular house plant one is too strong for them.
Christmas Cactus
I saved this one from my Dad’s bathroom and it is probably one of the easiest plants I know. A little extra which makes this plant so special is that it blooms around Christmas time. So magical!!
What you need to know:
☀︎☀︎☀︎☀︎ Likes bright, indirect light
💧💧💧 I water mine once every two weeks and it is doing great 🙂
Pilea peperomioides
I was so excited when I got this one last fall. It wasn’t doing very good for a while but at the moment it seems fine and is growing so many new baby leaves. An indicator for their happiness are happy are their little baby plants, growing around the big one. When the babies are big enough you can repot them and grow a brand new Pilea.
What you need to know:
☀︎☀︎☀︎☀︎ Likes bright, indirect sunlight
💧💧💧💧 I water mine once every week. As it gets warmer you may have to water it even a little bit more. Depends on how much sun it gets.
Avocado Plant
I grew this one all by myself. Yes, I am very proud of that. All you need to do is get yourself an Avocado and put its seed in water. After a few weeks it will grow roots and leaves and then you can put it in soil. Don’t worry though if it doesn’t work with your first try. At least that is what happened to me. Patience is key with growing Avocados (Here is a picture on how to grow an Avocado tree).
What you need to know:
☀︎☀︎☀︎☀︎ Likes bright, indirect sunlight
💧💧💧💧 I water mine once every week from March to September.
Maranta Leuconeura (Prayer Plant)
I got this one just recently for 3 Euros at my local plant store. I was a bit skeptical since it was so cheap but it is actually doing great. I love that it is called Prayer Plant and the reason behind the name. So, when it gets dark the plant folds up it leaves and looks like it’s praying. So so special.
What you need to know:
☀︎☀︎ Tolerates any light conditions, even low light
💧💧💧 I water it when the first few inches of the soil are dry
Chlorophytum comosum (Spider Plant)My mom always had spider plants and I remember loving them ever since. They grow so fast and are so nice and easy to take care of.
What you need to know:
☀︎☀︎☀︎☀︎ Likes bright, indirect sunlight
💧💧💧💧 Likes lot of water during spring and summer. Less during winter.
Cactus
When I was little I had a huge cacti collection. I was obsessed with them. Now I just have this one but would love to get another big one. They are so so easy to take care of!
What you need to know:
☀︎☀︎☀︎☀︎☀︎ Likes lots of sunlight
💧 I give it one table spoon of water about every two weeks and it seems to like that 🙂
Dieffenbachia
I propagated this little one from my sisters’s plant and I think it is doing fine. Very important information to know about this plant is that it is poisonous. Probably not a good plant for pet owners.
What you need to know:
☀︎☀︎☀︎ Likes bright, filtered sunlight
💧 Requires moderate to high level of humidity to grow properly. So, regular misting is very important.
Stromanthe Triostar
Oh, this plant makes me so so happy. It is growing new leaves all the time and seems so happy. Something which is really cool about it, is that it moves its leaves upwards when it’s getting dark. I was so freaked out at the beginning because I always heard a scratching noise at the wall and didn’t know what it was until I figured out it was my little pink plant moving its leaves.
What you need to know:
☀︎☀︎☀︎ Likes half shade
💧💧💧 I water it once a week during spring and summer and every two weeks during fall and winter.
Pothos Aureus
This one is growing like crazy and is so easy to take care of. I love it!
What you need to know:
☀︎☀︎☀︎ Likes half shade
💧💧💧 Likes moderate watering
Clusia Rosea
This one has been one of my very first plants and for a long time I thought it wasn’t very happy but now it is growing like crazy and living its best life. So, again, sometimes you just have to be patient and don’t give up on your plants too quickly. They will show you love, just give them some time.
What you need to know:
☀︎☀︎☀︎ Likes half shade
💧💧💧 Likes moderate watering
Oxalis tetraphyllaOkay, I think I may have killed this one. I wanted to repot it about a week ago and it still doesn’t seem happy about it. I’ll give it some more time and hope it will recover!
What you need to know:
☀︎☀︎☀︎ Likes half shade
💧💧💧💧 Likes a lot of water during g spring and summer.
This is a great and very informative post! I love the photos, they really give out that spring feeling! x

Thank you so much, Beth! ❤️ and it was not!! I always thought that too but only the huge ones who actually look like trees are very expensive 🙂 mine was about 25 Euros (it’s about 1 meter high), so very affordable 😉 ♥️

I really love all of your plants, as you probably know by now haha. I bought a fiddle after seeing it on your insta, and it is now one of my faves too. Also, the one you say is a Calathea Rosea Picta is actually a Stromanthe Triostar
