I know, we are already deep into May but it took me a little bit longer to figure out what I wanted to do for this month and while writing this post, I am already in the middle of the challenge. But for now, let’s reflect on last month.

Reflection on last month’s challenge: Getting into a fitness routine

Before Uni started I went on a lot of runs and to the gym and it felt so great. In total I was able to move my body 13 out of 15 times which I am super happy about.

Now, that I am back into another routine, I still need to figure out how I can include my gym runs into my daily life. I leave the house earlier and get back later but the fact that it’s still light when I get home is so helpful and I am sure I will figure something out.

I also signed up for a Yoga class which I am SO excited for 🙂

…this month’s challenge: Going without Social Media for a week

I can’t tell you in what desperate need I am for a break. My brain is so tired and it was the most logical thing to sign out of every social media account I have for the week. No YouTube, no Pinterest and most certainly no Instagram. For one week I don’t want to define myself with numbers or compare my life to someone elses. While I am writing this I am already almost done and to be honest, I don’t want it to end.

I have so much more time in the day to read or really catch up on University stuff. My screen time went down immensely and I love love love to not worry about numbers.

This week was perfect since I didn’t have any collaborations planned and I often caught myself thinking why I am not quitting the whole “influencer” thing as a whole if it makes me feel so exhausted. I think I will definitely have to change some stuff in order to be happy and relaxed again but we’ll see…

For now, I am excited to have two more days off and then hopefully get back nice and relaxed 🙂

So, as always, if you want to join me, feel free to do so. Did you take a week off social media before?

Until next time!

  1. Hello! I think I’m going to try a week without social media too, I need it so much! Social media can be so mentally exhausting when you run a blog and many accounts and I worry too much about numbers as well…

Thank you for sharing this, now I can’t wait to try this challenge 😁

    1. Ohhh, it makes me so happy to hear that you want to try the challenge as well! It is SO good for you. I loved it a lot and can’t wait to do another one soon again!
Have a lovely rest of your day ♥️

  2. Oh, I really like this challenge! I took a little insta break a few weeks ago as well and it felt so good. I have to admit that I only took a break from my official account and was still using my private one, hehe. I was feeling so uninspired lately and I wasn’t really happy with everything going on on social media. the little break showed me again, how fake everything can be but i also missed the communication with some of my followers. After coming back I decided to only follow the accounts I really like and to change a little bit oft my social media using habits (is this even an expression???) and now I am finally happy with it again.
I hope you are having a lovely weekend.
    Lots of love

    1. Ruth, you have actually inspired me to take a week off Instagram. I read your post and thought I am going to do it as well because I felt so burned out. Thank you so much for that! ♥️
Hope you have a great weekend!
