A NEW SERIES
Running has always been a fairly big part of my life. Sometimes more, sometimes less. Since I started to share more about my love for running on my stories, more questions reached me which made me decide to start a new series on my blog. I will try to cover all the topics you are interested in, like how to become a runner, how to get motivated, my favorite running gear etc. Literally, everything you want to know I am happy to answer.
Now, I have to say, I am not a professional. Not at all. It’s my hobby, it’s what makes me feel good and something I have been doing for a long time now. I am still working on myself, still trying to get better. I have days where I just can’t motivate myself to go for a run, days where I struggle a lot, where I just go on very short runs. But I feel like that makes my experience even more relatable. In the end, we are all humans
I really hope you’ll like this series and maybe I can motivate you to start running too. That’s my goal!
For today’s post, I want to talk about why I am running. Why I don’t mind getting up early, putting on many layers of clothes to get a good run in. I also share some community answers on why people run. Hope you enjoy!
Why I am running
I am running because it helps me clear my mind, sort out my thoughts, calm down and do something which is only for myself. I love it because I get to be in nature, get my daily dose of fresh air while working on my fitness. I love the feeling while running when your legs feel strong and tired at the same time. I love when finishing a run seems impossible but for some reason, you always manage to finish. Often, more dead than alive but it’s always worth it. I love running because it allows me to catch up on podcasts, listen to my favorite music. Running always makes me feel productive and strong and it’s one of the best ways to relax after a stressful day. With every run, I get to know me, my body and my limits better. I love running because it’s seriously so much fun.
Why are you running?
I absolutely loved reading about the reasons why other people like to run. I picked some answers from a Q&A I did a few weeks ago on my stories and was surprised that so many people share my love for running. Seriously, what a great community.
That’s it for today. I am feeling very happy right now and hope that’s the start to something really fun + inspiring 🙂
Definitely send me any questions or blog posts requests on this topic and I will make sure to talk about them in the future.
Happy Monday & stay safe.
xx, Franziska
This is such a lovely unique post, I have not yet got into running, however reading this makes me want to see if I can make it a daily habit!
