Hi friends! I hope you all had a great start into the new year and set some intentional goals 🙂 My start was very quiet, relaxed and happy.
Anyway, I thought it would be fun to share my Goals for 2021.
Without further ado, let’s get started!
1) Let’s run a half-marathon!
This year my goal is to run a half-marathon. I wanted to do it last year but because of Covid19 all runs got canceled, so I am going to cross my fingers and hope it’s going to work this year. If you want to know more about running, I linked my running post here.
2) Read 21 books in 2021.
20 books was my goal last year and I actually hit 42 which was so cool. So, let’s see how many books I will be able to finish this year. How many books do you want to read in 2021?
3) Take my first state examination.
I plan on taking my first state examination this year (is that’s how it’s called in English?!). Already very nervous but I hope it’s going to be okay.
4) Work harder.
In general I want to work harder this year. Uni wise, work wise, make smart decisions, also financially, and work on procrastinating less. I already started to use my phone more mindful and it has been working pretty good, so I hope I can work even more on that in 2021.
5) Try to be minimalistic.
Last night I watched The Minimalists: Less is Now and started decluttering my whole room right away haha. I don’t own a lot of things but I want to be even more aware of the things I bring into my home, ask myself if I really need them and get rid of the things I don’t use. It feels so good to only have a few, purposeful things.
6) Focus on now.
2020 was very hard, as for most of us. I had a few very emotionally draining months…lots of overthinking, worrying and doubting. In 2021 I want to work on my overthinking and I think it’s so important to focus on what we have now. The now is what we can trust in. So, let’s focus more on right now and just enjoy it.
7) Discover new places.
I really really hope that we can travel a little bit in 2021. Even if it’s just in Europe or even Germany. I would love to discover some new places, especially since I haven’t seen any new places last year!
8) Start being kinder to yourself.
I really want to work on the way I talk to myself in 2021. At the end of last year, I started working on it and it’s crazy how different you feel when you are just kinder to yourself. Just ask yourself if that is how you would talk to your friends and most of the time it’s not.
9) Enjoy the little moments.
I feel like 2020 already taught us to appreciate and enjoy all the little, seemingly insignificant moments and in 2021 I want to continue doing that. It’s so wonderful to find joy in the smallest daily moments like waking up to the sun or listening to the birds singing.
10) Try out something new.
I would love to try out / learn something new. Like kickboxing, pilates or something else. Oh, and stretch! A lot of stretching.
11) Let’s be braver.
I want to be braver. In 2020 I’ve grown a lot and I actually feel a lot older than the year before, but I want to be even braver this year. Try out new things, risk something, and get out of my comfort zone.
12) Grow and build relationships.
I want to deepen and build the relationships in my life. Check in more, talk more, make people feel loved and appreciated. Probably one of my biggest goals.
And that’s a wrap! My goals for 2021. I really hope you enjoyed. Do you have a specific goal you want to reach in 2021?
Have a happy weekend, Franziska ♡
P.S. If you need some more new year inspiration I highly recommend reading this post: Why 2019 might have been my year even though I didn’t find a boyfriend.
